Our Salter House Trug Bag perfectly balances the practical and whimsical, and is hand-made with heirloom quality finishing.
Each Trug is hand-made in Oregon by the Barber family, who have been making baskets and trugs for over sixty years. The Trug is made from bent Myrtlewood, and is finished with a hand-pressed copper Salter House seal, and copper nails.
The drawstring bag insert is hand-made in NYC from deadstock organic cotton or cutting-room floor offcuts from our Salter House clothing collections. The pouch ties securely to the basin of the Trug, and can be removed to wash or to use the Trug alone.
To wash, remove bag and wash on cold cycle, hang dry. Wash Trug separately using light soap and water.
